HOW TO EXPLORE YOUR DESIRE TO CREATE.
THOUGHT TO THING
You know that inner knowing that creeps into your gut when you’re future visioning, like you’re manifesting something so strongly you can also see it?
Or!
How about that intuitive itch you get when you’re craving a big, shake it up,last minute trip to a place you know will make you feel some type of way?
Whether it’s your gut signaling to your brain that you’re on the right track or it’s telling you that you’re in need of a big scoop of sugary goodness, desire is the driving force.
From the time we’re born until the time we leave the planet, there’s a specific desire that burns within our belly. For some of us, that might look like something tangible, for others, it may be more of a longing.
Love, knowledge, freedom, experience, space; these are all desires that are commonly sought after, extensively searched for, throughout our existence.
The feeling of desire may not be present all the time, but when it is, that’s the Souls’ cue to move forward, to create something out of a longing that makes itself present. By staying in tune, in touch, and tapped into our feelings, we’re able to know our Soul’s true desires.
Which then leads us to the place of being able (and willing) to create those desires.
THE ROOT OF DESIRE AND CREATIVITY
From Latin comes desiderare; to long for and creare; to bring something into being. Both of these words, entwined together from the root of their existence. If you were to trace any thought back to its origin, you’d be able to see that it begins in the mind as a desire, and once that desire is activated, creation becomes the living, breathing, tangible manifestation of it.
Our creative expression allows us to fulfill our desires of thinking outside of the box, connecting with something bigger, and tapping into both our inner and outer resources. When a creative thought pops into our brain, we can do one of two things; activate or ignore.
Activating a creative thought means you are consciously putting energy and expression into it in order to bring it to life, whatever form that may be.
To ignore it means you’re still allowing it to take up space in your brain without any further exploration.
For example, let’s think about creating a vision board. The point of a vision board is to help manifest your thoughts, desires, wants, and needs into reality. When you actively take the time to find images, words, mantras, and anything else that express your wants, it’s making your thoughts into an actual thing through a specific medium.
Being able to visually see your thoughts take a form of life can help your brain connect to something tangible and tactile.
YOUR SACRAL CHAKRA
Svadhisthana, your second chakra, which lives in your sacral plexus, is where we hold desire, amongst other aspects like sexuality, emotions, needs, pleasure, and sensation. When we connect with this chakra through movement, our inner child, boundary work, and emotional release, our inner desires may become more clear.
When we tap into this center, we are reclaiming our right to feel, our right to desire pleasure and passion. To deny or turn away from the desires of the sacral would be to ignore the right to feel whole — and to tune out our internal power of intuition.
Remember, creation is a gift. When we allow our desires to lead us towards what our Soul wants to create, we are ushering our own magic into the world.
